What is this site?
This is the Online Gallery Catalog of Len Woods Indian Territory Gallery, Inc., a family
owned and operated business established in 1969, which maintains the Nations largest and most
diverse collection of museum-quality antique and contemporary North American Indian art and
artifacts.
Does your business have a physical location?
Unlike many websites offering Native American Indian artifacts for sale run by individuals working
from their homes or traveling without permanent physical address, we have had prominent galleries
in the art community/ seaside resort of Laguna Beach, California for more than 35 years.
We have two galleries, the North Gallery features Antique North American Indian Art and Artifacts;
our South Gallery features Western Fine Art.
How do I use the On-line Catalog?
Click on either the art & artifacts or search links at the top of the page and
follow the menu
choices. USE the KEYWORDS search function to find something specific such as Maria or
Germantown or Apache etc
.

you will
then see buttons to many pages on the websiteeach page comes up six items at a time and in the
category order they are found in the art & artifacts page.
Why are some artifacts listed without prices?
Although prices are listed on most items in our inventory, to encourage communication
and serious
inquiries we do not list prices on every item. We look forward to providing pricing and additional
detailed information on request!
We also have additional items not yet published on the website
feel free to email us
any special
requests.
Can I get more photos and information on an item?
YES. Use the Quick Inquiry Button.
How quickly do you generally respond to emails?
We answer most emails within 24 hours!
If you have not received an email response from us within three days we probably have either not
received your email or you are unable to receive our email response to you and you are invited to
call us toll-free at (800) 579-0860 daytime until 5pm Pacific Time.
Do you have more information on these artifacts on your website?
Yes. In addition to the relatively brief descriptions in the online gallery catalog section, each
artifact
on the website will have its own category page we also have pages on our website containing more
detailed generalized information of special interest to collectors.
For example, from our main Navajo Rugs Information Page you can view Navajo rugs by their
age
and size, or by their style or type, or you can view our entire rug inventory (or our entire American
Indian art internet inventory). And in our article section you may also read about each style and
type of Navajo rug, as well as descriptive articles comparing and contrasting the differences
between rugs of different time periods and styles, information on wool, weaving, dyes, motifs,
classification and collectibility of the various styles of Navajo weaving.
In addition there are descriptive articles of interest to beginning collectors such as articles on
the
History of Navajo Weaving, How to tell an Authentic Navajo Rug, How to
Count Weft
intermediate collectors How to Display Navajo Rugs in the Home and Office, Care and
Maintenance Guidelines for Navajo Rugs and advanced collectors (Collecting Strategies,
Developing Your Collection).
Beyond this each artifact section will have links to related services we offer involving that particular
type of artifact.
Will you have any additional pages of information directly attached to artifacts in the
catalog section?
Yes. In some of the online catalog listings we will soon have links to articles with more general
information about that category of item so if you see such a link in the newer future be sure to click
on it and check it out!
How current is the inventory?
We will be deleting sold items every Friday. Some sold items will be marked sold and
left within a
category for reference purposes if there are few additional images currently within that particular
category.
How much of your gallery inventory is included in your online gallery?
While currently only a small percentage of our gallery collection has been published online we hope
to continue adding to it until the vast majority of our collection is available online so keep checking.
We encourage you to let us know of your collecting interests as we can email photos of items not
yet published to our site that may be of great interest to you.
Will you trade for or buy my item(s)?
Yes, on your request, we generally are able to provide a purchase and/or consignment offer and in
some cases a trade credit offer on quality early American Indian art items. Please email .jpg
photos and dimensions of your item(s) to us at info@indianterritory.com
for these offers!
