"normal'" .jpg file***

***HOW TO PREPARE
NORMAL .JPG PHOTOS:
***Please do not use a
proprietary program or an online program (such as Yahoo photos or Real
video photos or Quicktime photos or an Online photo service) that requires
special software to view your photos--Here are instructions for attaching
a NORMAL .jpg photo to your email :
Save your digital photo (photos can be taken using a
digital camera or you can use your scanner to copy a normal photographic
print) to your computer using your normal photo editing software (if using
any Windows format you have at least the "Paint" program by default. Most
digital cameras and scanners come bundled with other more complete photo
editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Correll, MS Image Composer, etc.
Size your image so that the large dimension (height or
width) is no more than 7 inches. Save at a "normal" resolution of 72
pixels per inch so that you can email the photo relatively quickly no
matter your connection speed.
Save a copy of your image as "yourphotoname.jpg"
without the quotes.
After you click file>"Save As" a window will pop up
allowing you to select the location to save your photos to. If you are new
to this then select "Desktop "as it will be easy to find.
Be sure that you are not TYPING "jpg" but that you
have SELECTED this file extension by clicking on the drop down window of
file extension options which should be located immediately below and to
the right of the space where you type in your photo's new name. Select
.jpg as your file extension, then click the SAVE button to the right.
Now go to your new photo (if you saved it to your
desktop go there...and if using Windows XP it
is especially easy to email...:just Right-click the photo's icon > Send to
> Mail Recipient
Type in our email name in the "To" field :
info@indianterritory.com
and its a good idea to CC a copy of this email to
yourself as well
Check your email sent folder and be sure that the email
you just sent is there, open it up and see that the photo is attached and
opens.
You have just emailed a "normal" jpg that any computer
should be able to open without requiring special or proprietary software!

IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE TO YOUR
APPRAISAL REQUEST:
Emailed Appraisal Requests:
We generally respond to most emailed
appraisal requests within two business days but there can be situations in
which we have either not received your emails, not received your photo
attachments or are unable to successfully send an email to your email
address.
If you have not received a reply please do
the following:
1. Email us a brief note -- with NO PHOTO
ATTACHMENTS -- stating the date and time the original email appraisal
request was emailed and requesting from us that you just need us to reply
whether the other email with photo attachments was received by us.
Sometimes servers reject oversized emails
or there was a technical problem during emailing so once in a while an
email doesn't get to us.... or a proprietary program was used to make
the photo...there are additional technical reasons why a photo may not be
attached or successfully received.
2. SPAM FILTERS and Junk Email BLOCKS:
Be sure to check that your email or your e-mail's server is not blocking
our replies.
Sometimes spam filters/ junk email filters
are set to reject all emails unless specifically permitted.
If this is how your spam filter or your email
company's spam filter is set be sure to type our email name
info@indianterritory.com into your "permitted" emails so you can
receive our free appraisal of your item (s).
